Book Report Ideas: |
(PARENTS: BOOK REPORTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE TEAR-FREE ACTIVITIES!!!)
Book reports are great ways for us to look at books in different, creative ways. Students are to make a project, poster, diorama, etc. that displays a favorite part, character, setting, conflict, etc. of a favorite chapter book on their reading level.
Parents, please make sure your child has read and completely understands the book they have chosen for their book report. I ask probing questions about the book as they present, therefore students need to understand their book of choice to promote deep discussion.
I encourage students to look around their house and use things from their house to make book reports.
For example, cereal boxes, pizza boxes, oatmeal cylinders, and the like, can be turned into book reports. Students will present book reports to their peers in Probe class.
Please check out our photo pages to see examples of past book reports.
Also, we have links that will give students ideas for cool and creative book reports.
